Avoid Southeast motor at all cost
I drove my car to Southeast motor to have some body work done (little dent and paint scraping) on the due to accident. Took it in the first time for assessment and then was told to bring it in about a week later which I did. All of a sudden, the garage called me a few days after I dropped off my car saying that they can’t get my car in gear and need over £600 to put a new gear in the car. I informed them that I have never had an issue with my gear since a bought the car in January. They were insisting I paid over £600 for the gear to be changed. I asked how an issue with the back bumper has got to do with gear, they started getting quite confrontational that they have told me they can’t get the car in gear. This really upset me as I was already struggling due to someone hitting me from behind. I could not believe the treatment and confrontation. I just said, in not paying you over £600 for an issue that wasn’t there when I dropped the car off to you. I would have to make arrangements to have the car removed from you and get it looked at somewhere else. Few weeks later, they car to say the accident repair is sorted and the car now needs to be towed. I was heartbroken an emotional. I drove my car to a garage for accident repair at the back of the car, only to now have to pay for it to be towed out of the garage. If you don’t want your car to be returned to you with more problems than it had before you took it in unless you pay way more money than you are supposed to for issues that your car didn’t have before it went it, my advice is please avoid this garage by all means necessary. Thank you
